Adult colouring in has therapeutic benefits such as slowing down, calming, and helping to develop the skill of paying attention.  This has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, as well as help to reduce depression.  This downloadable colouring eBook is designed with a reflective Christian theme. Each of the 12 hand drawn images has within it words from scripture upon which to meditate while colouring. Simple, easy to follow, tips and techniques are also provided to guide you if this is the first time you are attempting to colour in.

The intentionally imperfect images vary in intricacy and are made up of patterns which are not intended to create recognizable pictures. The idea is to free your creativity and help you respond in the here and now to the pattern before you without considering what the end result ‘should’ look like.  We recognize that for those with perfectionistic tendencies, this may be rather challenging!  We encourage you to persevere.  After all, you can always redo it, if you really want to, at a later stage – that’s the benefit of a downloadable book!

Adult Colouring Book can be used as a Devotional

The scripture verses provided are short and easy to understand.   You may even wish to memorize them as you colour, and meditate on the meaning of the words.  Some people respond to God by talking with Him during the process.
