Welcome to Gold Coast counselling and psychotherapy.  Here you can talk confidentially with a professionally registered counsellor in person or via Telehealth, or on Skype.   You don’t need a referral and we are not here to offer psychological diagnoses.  If you are a medical professional or allied health worker, this has benefits for you.

At Let’s Talk Life we are also happy for you to freely discuss your spiritual beliefs and faith.   We recognize ways in which these can influence how you view the world, and in turn, how you approach life. 

In addition to professional counselling, psychotherapy and support, we also provide professional supervision for counsellors, chaplains, clergy and allied health professionals.  

Our models of approach

We favour person-centred approaches to therapy, supported by a range of evidence-based techniques drawn from a variety of therapeutic models.  These include interpersonal, process oriented, narrative, transactional analysis, Gestalt, CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), and mindfulness.  We creatively integrate these therapies  to uniquely suit you, your individual personality and circumstances.  We also provide tools and strategies that may be used between sessions to help you with the skills needed to meet your growth goals.

Psychotherapy does not have to continue for many years to be effective and bring good results.  Many people experience positive changes in the first few sessions.  We do not recommend a set number of sessions but rather encourage you to determine when you have reached what you have come to achieve through the psychotherapy process.

We are committed to finding the best fit for you, so if we feel in discussion with you that you may benefit from talking with someone other than one of us, we will gladly offer you a referral to a professional in our network of contacts.
